‘2015 KADARA ENYEASI – ‘HALF CURRENT’ COMING SOON’
“Half current” is an exhibition of a collection of nine photographs by Kadara Enyeasi at Whitespace Lagos
“Half Current” will be a collection of nine photographs and will feature performances of four acts that would be strictly by invitation.
First Act—Will be opened only to core Art Buyers
Second Act—Will be opened to a community of artists
Third Act Will be opened to The Artist (Kadara’s Friends)
The fourth Act- Will be opened to the general public for viewing
The photographs take the intangible element of mood as the subject, expressed in monochrome, which is seen as the future of color by the artist. The artist (Kadara) wants the viewer to be open, to let out all distractions and allow for the images to work the senses
Kadara Enyeasi is a Lagos based Photographer with an unbelievable ability for thought and storytelling through his camera lens. He started his photography journey while still in secondary school, after he was given a camera as a gift. He deals with critical photography that communicates the topic of sexuality, bridging the gap between rich African culture and the Western ideas of sexuality and human psychology. His works are largely influenced by Rotimi Fani-Kayode, Lakin Ogunbanwo, Viviane Sassen, Peter Lindbergh, Mustafa Sabbagh and Andre Wagner, just to name a few. His works are focused solely on portrait and still life, fine art and photojournalism.

It also manages A Whitespace Lagos, a concept space, which can be transformed and used for temporary installations and interventions. The space is located in the heart of Ikoyi’s cultural enclave at 58, Raymond Njoku Street, off Awolowo road, Ikoyi Lagos.
